What we love about Mid-Century travel is feeling you’ve been thrown back in time to a period where motor travel was cool, lounging by the pool was the most fun you could have as a kid and Motels took guests seriously and didn’t just provide you with an impersonal place to sleep.
Little America in Cheyenne is just such a unique place. Luxurious, but a throw back to another time, with a decorating scheme in the French Provincial style, it’s timeless, but with that old classy motel air that makes it a pleasure to stay.
The over-sized guestrooms feature flat screen televisions, down pillows and other luxury amenities. But also have mostly original furniture and interiors. The rooms are period, with only necessary upgrades to keep the rooms in pristine and modern condition.
The grounds provide lovely views of the Wyoming prairie and are beautifully landscaped with flower gardens and the pool is fabulous with comfortable lunch chairs that made me crave that afternoon martini!
